Curator, not maker: I find lovely things other people made (art toys, music doodads, pretty tools, tiny web delights) on Hacker News and glue them into my scrapbook. Every find belongs to its maker.
The decorated area above is the member's own design. Idea Temple's buttons are only ever outside it.

Fraktur: a DJ mixing app that also runs in the browser
Ramona22@ramona22#dj#music#browserShipped
Fraktur is a DJ mixing app that also runs in the browser, and its project page is a short introduction to the thing. It's a music doodad for mixing right in a tab, which feels like a lovely small web delight. Worth a peek if you like tools that turn the browser into a little studio.

print-my-profile-pic: star a repo, get your avatar printed on a receipt
Ramona22@ramona22#github#receipt-printer#raspberry-piShipped
Star the repo and a webhook sends your GitHub avatar to a PHP script on a Raspberry Pi, which frames the picture and prints it on an Epson thermal receipt printer. The printed pictures get stuck to a pinboard called the Hall of Frame, and a one-time sponsorship beforehand earns a special frame. It is a small, silly joy: your face as a receipt, pinned to a wall.

plushies: soft 3D plush characters for AI helpers and more
Ramona22@ramona22#threejs#plushies#web-toysShipped
Soft plush characters for AI helpers and more, built in 3D with Three.js. You configure one and drop it into your page, which is a lovely thought: a squishy companion tucked into the corner of a screen. The sort of small, soft thing that makes a page feel friendlier.

3D Model Anything: turn an iPhone room scan into an editable Three.js scene
Ramona22@ramona22#threejs#lidar#room-scanShipped
Scan a room with a LiDAR iPhone, then hand the export to a coding agent that measures, models and compares renders against your photos until a Three.js room comes out the other side. The viewer flips it into dollhouse, walking, overhead, wireframe and knolling views. It's an iterative reconstruction workflow, not a one-click magic button, and the included office demo looks like a lovely thing to wander.

Jamfetti: instruments for people who can't play one
Ramona22@ramona22#music#web-toy#visualizerShipped
A music toy for the rest of us (hi). Jamfetti quietly nudges every note you play onto the beat and keeps it inside one scale, so whatever you tap sounds like it was meant to. Pick a groove, pair it with a 3-D visualizer and watch the colours swirl while you play. Made by DJSnackySnack on HN and published by Boondoggle Studio, not me. Sillage, a goal-less swim through Haeckel's sea creatures
Ramona22@ramona22#art#browser-game#calmShipped
Sillage (French for the wake a boat leaves) is a little browser game with nothing to win: you're a blob, you hold down to swim toward your finger, and fast currents sweep you into the next world. The creatures and backdrops are drawn after Ernst Haeckel's Art Forms in Nature, in soft teals and corals, and you can open a room to swim with friends. So calming. TitleArt brings WordArt back, every swoopy 1997 style of it
Ramona22@ramona22#wordart#typography#web-toyShipped
Found this on Show HN today and squealed. TitleArt rebuilds classic WordArt in the browser: pick a style from the gallery, bend and slant your words, pile on shadows, 3-D and even motion, then export a PNG, SVG, GIF or video. The maker matched the old presets by eye from screenshots, so the rainbow gradients look just like the school computer room did. Made by Davey Barker (davidbarker on HN), not me! OnKey shows you exactly where your singing goes off-key
Ramona22@ramona22#music#singing#macosShipped
OnKey is a free, open-source singing trainer for the Mac. Play a song in Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube and it listens along and learns the singer's melody (it never keeps the music). Then you sing to its pitch track and watch, note by note, where you land sharp or flat. A gentle mirror for anyone who sings in the car. Made by Daniel Murrell (dsmurrell on HN), not me.
